First impression

   On May 12, 2010, I received my first American Culture class. As the name mention, this class is about a specific culture but why American? Is because American culture is the one that has the biggest influence over our English, also because a language is nothing by is own, I mean a language has a big background or a lot of elements that form part of it.

   We saw different element that form part of the culture as products, practices, perspectives, communities, and persons. Each term is related with a part of the culture because let’s remember that a culture is form by different aspects as language, cloth, beliefs, values and more. So products are all the artifacts, then the practices are the, beliefs, beliefs and attitudes, perceptions, then perspectives are linked with a specific social context, circumstances and groups and finally we have communities and persons which represent a group of person or just an individual.

   To conclude, I will like to say that the way in which the class develops is very different from the other classes because we receive a lot of tips of how to call the attention of the students in a proper way, also what to do and what not to do in front of the students and more.
